As animals have two eyes and there are two controls on a radio, many animal radios integrate the eyes into the radio by using them as the controls.
Here are two examples from my collection.
The little fellow on the left is one of my favourite novelty radios. Its a scanner.
The eyes float in a liquid and move about when actuated by the radio sounds.
Time for a little gardening. Here’s your watering can. The can is manual..

Weird and over complicated.
Good design in the joystick radio. Similar to the previous gear box radio.
Solid transparent rod which glows red when on. Press down for on/off and left/right
Back and forth for scanning and volume.
One of my design favourites.
Here’s a pyramid radio and clock. The serrated perspex top changes colour whilst the radio is on ! Red,yellow, green, blue.
A little scanner. Nothing unusual except it was sold by Boots the chemist.

Another little promotional scanner. Brought out when Tetley tea company began to market round tea bags.
