Early Wireless
This is a weird one. It is marked as a Sony TR1819, which is normally a transistor radio in a square plastic case. But the case for this model has been made from 3/4” thick perspex, machined and glued together!
All the controls too on the top, have been made from perspex as can be seen. Did someone really go to all that trouble to
machine and glue all those pieces together just to make this,
or is it some kind of Sony prototype? There are 160 holes for the loudspeaker aperture etc.
