These two Coca Cola radios nicely illustrate how small a radio can be if it uses modern scanning ic’s.
The large bottle with volume on the top cap and tuning on the base is an old am printed circuit. The little bottle is a modern scanning radio using a single ic.
The integration here on these 6 beer bottles is very good. Four of the top beer caps are controls and fifth one is a pull our aerial as you can see.
No longer acceptable is Robertson’s jam golly, But before they dropped the golly this little radio was a promotional item.
Marketed by Lexon this is a simulated rubber radio in the form of a brick. The aerial revolves for tuning.
