I spent a day in Melton Mowbray, a small market town in the English Midlands, and took 4 of these photographs whilst there. What fun I had in taking them. Within 5 minutes of parking my car I spotted, “A Rank Outsider.”
A few minutes later the bike had gone, proving once again that most outside humour is all a question of luck and observation of everything that may not look very interesting at first glance. The photographer must teach himself to look again and again and to think about what is in front of his camera lens continually.
How boring a simple Boots the chemist advert may seem, but put two together as I found in the town centre and humour is created.
A few hours later I wandered into the local Council Office’s transport section and found, “The Driving Test!”
I have since wondered if the driver that pushed that sign over ever passed his driving test. Probably not!
