Many old buildings are being demolished and I found “Building Sight” with the old fronting the new, the crane towering over them all. The problems taking photographs of such large sites is that so much material is before your camera, scaffold poles, ladders etc, that composition is difficult, but I made the whole site look like some giant pink cake where individual items are lost within the whole.
“Vapour Trail” had to be taken very quickly as the trail was dispersing in the atmosphere. It matched the telephone lines from the pole and made an interesting composition I thought.
As I have mentioned before, we photographers must watch out for reflections and “Apartment Block” is yet another example of images being framed by reflections.
“A Lean To” had to be taken against something else which was vertical in order to emphasis the lean!
I was lucky here in finding those fire escape stairs to use for this. They also complimented the pattern of the iron railings in a satisfying way.
